Chi-Rho Youth Group

What is Chi-Rho?

The Group Chi-Rho at DMPC is a safe space for youth to come together and grow in Christ through fun, fellowship, and faith-building activities.

The symbol known as Chi-Rho is one of the earliest symbols used by Christians. It is formed by superimposing the first two letters in the Greek spelling of the word Christ ( Greek : “Χριστός” ), chi = ch and rho = r, in such a way to produce the symbol.   Although not technically a cross, the Chi Rho invokes the crucifixion of Jesus as well as symbolizing his status as the Christ.

Chi-Rho at DMPC meets about twice per month.  Normal? Meetings include games, snacks, Small Group Bible Study, music, and an encouraging space to help us grow into faithful followers of Jesus.  Our group also participates in mission projects, conferences, camps, and stuff that is just plain fun.
